The sports I was involved
in before wrestling was track, football, and cross-country. My senior year my team won the cross country state championship
for California and for track I won many medals and went with my team to the footlocker track and field championships and got
fifth in the nation in hurdles. I was injured at the end of my freshman year in college. Then Mark Watson walks in. Watson
is an alumni of Pacific University. He brought Grapple in the Grove, which was a great success though it did not have many
students that went. Following year I asked if I could be part of the program. He sent me to train at Titos Gym and I started
by training lucha libre style with the help of El Mosco de Tijuana and El Gato. I got American style training from Tito Carreon
and Aaron Wylde. I trained as much as possible, trained at Titos six days a week and the Sundays hes closed so Id work out
at home. Started doing a couple matches under a mask (El Toro Negro). Watson then gave me my shot at my first pro match against
Tadger. I was automatically hooked to the sport once I stepped through those doors. And the story goes on. Now I'm training
with Tony Kozina and have improved my ability tenfold. And I just keep getting better blending the lucha background with a
more mat based fundamentals.
